Liz grew up in Columbia, Missouri and is the daughter of church musicians who taught her the importance of music as a form of worship. She is a 2006 graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota where she earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree. Liz is equally experienced in instrumental music (she was principal trombone soloist in Band and Orchestra and assistant director of the school’s Percussion Ensemble) and in choral music (she was soprano section leader in Cantorei, one of the three major choirs on campus). She graduated Magna Cum Laude with departmental distinction and was elected to the well-known music honors society, Pi Kappa Lambda. Liz spent six years as the Choir Director at North Presbyterian Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she conducted the adult choir, children’s choirs and worked instrumental ensembles. She also has extensive experience as a high school choral director and private music teacher. By the time she left the St. Paul area, she had accrued fourteen graduate credits in Vocal Music Education at St. Thomas University.
Liz leads the RBCPC Chancel Choir, Sanctuary Orchestra and its SATB vocal ensemble, Joyful Noise.
