Our purpose is to prepare the worship environment, whether it be the Sanctuary, the Chapel or the Fellowship Center, for the hearts and minds of the Worship Leaders and the church family to be open to the Holy Spirit. Our Values are based on Matthew 22:37-40: To serve God and the church Family at RBCPC. We receive a prayer sheet for each month from the Prayer Team to put in our baskets so that we can pray while we work for those who will be sitting where we are working (every seat in the Sanctuary, Chapel and Fellowship Center) and the Worship Leaders. |
Opportunities to serve
Friday Mornings: 7:30 AM. We start in the Sanctuary to update the Pew Slots, clean the pew racks, fabric spot the pews, freshen the Fellowship Registers, and pray for the people who will be sitting there for services over the weekend. We also do all the housework in Sanctuary, Chapel, behind the Chancel, Gallery and Balcony.
Then, we move into the Library to put the inserts into the Bulletins. We also wash the candle holders for the tables in the Worship Cafe/ Bistro, and pray for the services and all the people that will be in this area.
Wednesday Afternoons: 1 PM. We clean out the Kids Worship Packs from the week before and insert the new materials, crayons and other extras for the current week. These materials have been prepared especially to coordinate with the sermon or theme for that weekend of services.
There are always times that require us to work at other times also, such as holidays, when KidsLife takes a weekends off (no Sunday School), so extra large quantities of Kids Worship Packs need to be made up, concerts, memorial services, etc.
