Sunshine Singers
The Sunshine Singers' ministry provides joy and "sunshine" to residents of nursing homes, health care facilities and full-care facilities. Like their signature song "You Are My Sunshine," this is accomplished by doing sing-along programs of the "golden oldie" songs; songs that were popular in their youth, along with some well-known beautiful hymns.
It is such a joy to see the residents change from glum and sullen to being bright and cheerful. After our singing programs, we always look forward to meeting the residents. It is an opportunity to share God's love with them. We also like to sing for shut-ins. We go to their homes and bring some sunshine" by singing selected songs and visiting with them.
At Christmas, we change our programs to the beloved Christmas carols. After doing Christmas programs, we love to go caroling in the halls of the facilities and sing for those who were not able to attend the regular programs.

The choir sings about once a month fall through spring in and around Rancho Bernardo. No tryouts are necessary. All that is necessary to join the Sunshine Singers is a love for singing and a heart that cares about the elderly and the ill. Please contact Director Arlene Wolf at (858) 487-4090 or
