Chancel Choir
Centuries of celebration lie at the core of every worship service at RBCPC. Our Majestic Praise is sustained by the church's rich artistic heritage and the best of Today's Praise. We are focused on providing strong leadership for Christ's people who gather in song and sacrament where many voices unite to sing "the praises of Zion."
Kay McClain, former president of the Chancel Choir, offers her own perspective from years in the choir loft: "I could never share my faith on my own as well as I can in choir. Singing in the choir gives me a chance to release my deepest feelings through songs of faith that are much greater than little old me. The choir is a safe place to join with others in witness to God's hand in my life."
The Psalmist invites everyone to "magnify the Lord with me, let us exalt his name together" (Ps. 34:3). The many instrumental ensembles and choirs of the church provide a variety of opportunities for Christians to join together in just the kind of joyful praise that Kay describes. Strong, vital leadership equips members with the skills they need and then empowers each to be effective music ministers serving in the church and throughout the Rancho Bernardo community.
