Together on Planet Mom

"Where two or three come together...there I am with them."

Matthew 18:20

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a dynamic program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS International is a non-denominational Christian organization which recognizes that the years of infancy through kindergarten are foundational in mother-child relationships and are filled with unique needs. MOPS brings moms together to share a similar desire… to be the very best mom they can be! Our MOPS meetings are twice a month on Wednesday mornings, from 9:00am to 11:15am.  We hope you can join us for a special time of fostering friendships and growing in motherhood!

Registration:
Registration for current MOPS members will be at the MOPS meeting on April 22nd, 2009. Open registration for new members will be available via email until August 26th and will be on a first come first served basis. For registration information contact Cory Schaller ~corydiane@hotmail.com

Fees:
Deposit:     $35.00 with application (applied towards dues)
MOPS:       $75.00 per semester
Moppets:    $20.00 per child per semester
Checks only: Payable to RBCPC (MOPS in the memo)

Cancellations:  After July 1st deposits are non-refundable. Unfortunately, since we have already made teacher and craft purchases, no refunds will be given after September 30, 2009.

From 9:00-11:00 on Wednesday, September 2nd, we are taking photos of you and your child(ren) for Child Care Registration. The balance of the MOPS registration dues will be received at this time along with snack donations.

Moppet’s program:  The Moppet’s program is for infants through Kindergarten age children. All children 6 months or older will need to be registered for child care. The Moppet’s program is limited to 115 children with enrollment restrictions for each age group.

FYI:
Before the semester starts, your small group leader will be calling you to introduce herself to you and to welcome you to MOPS.  She will also inform you of how to locate your small group table.
♥Our small groups consist of approximately 8 moms. As much as possible, we try to form the small groups based on geography, and or children’s ages. Our goal is to develop a sense of belonging and community.
♥Each member will need to supply a Costco size snack box for our Moppets and donations of gently used toys would be greatly appreciated for use in the Moppet’s program, as well.
♥Each small group will be responsible for contributing food/drinks to our buffet breakfast twice a semester.

Lastly, when you become a member of MOPS at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church we want you to be aware that the registration fee you pay covers most of our morning activities for both MOPS and Moppets.   This includes child care, speakers and crafts. However for MOPS to run successfully, you maybe called out of one MOPS meeting per semester, to provide childcare.

Questions? Please feel free to call if you have any questions regarding MOPS. Thank you!  Cory Schaller (858)442-6108.
