Contemporary Choir Check It Out Invitation

The contemporary worship choir at RBCPC is open to anyone ages 16 to adult who likes to sing and would like to participate in leading worship every other Sunday at the 10:00 am contemporary worship service.

If you'd like to check it out before making a commitment of any kind, consider a no-strings-attached trial run. Show up in the Upper Fireside room (upstairs at the end of the hall) on Wednesday, September 1st & 8th, at 7:00 pm for rehearsal, and join in leading worship with the gang on Sunday, September 12th for the 10:00 am service.

Inspiring, engaging, thought-provoking, eclectic, creative, authentic....just a few of the words to describe the varied worship experiences you will find Saturday @6pm and Sunday @10:00 am. In a fresh approach to worship, these services are intentionally designed around the belief that the entire hour is "the message." The teaching, music, prayer, visuals, media, drama, personal stories - all woven together creatively to allow for a transformational moment of connection with God.

Music:

Some of the best of today's contemporary worship music sprinkled with favorite updated hymns, led with excellence and authenticity by a talented group of musicians and vocalists.

 

Teaching:

Insightful and practical, biblical applications for learning what it means to meet and follow Christ, weekly messages are delivered each week by the Pastoral Staff.

 

Videos/Visuals:

Worship experiences employ creative visuals, videos and drama as an another way to connect to the heart of God.

  

Got Kids?:

KidsLife - An engaging children's program, as well as quality childcare, run concurrently with the Sunday services. On Saturday night childcare provided.

Middle School Ministry - Designed for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grader state of life! We want to help lead students to the place where they will be intentional and motivated to pursue growth in their journey with Christ and of course have a loud, messy, and exciting time doing it! Simply, we want our students to ENGAGE in a relationship with Christ... an active and alive relationship with God in their lives!

High School Ministry (The Highway) - An exciting and dynamic group of High School students actively seeking God every day. We don’t like to sit still, and there is always events scheduled for you to come and be with your friends and meet new friends. We may jet to the beach, or check out some concert, or play Laser Tag. We are always looking for ways to serve God in our community and beyond.

  

Worship Choir 

LIKE TO SING?

This energetic group leads in the Saturday and Sunday contemporary services once a month. The rehearsal is held on the Wednesday prior, at 7:00 p.m. in the Upper Fireside room (upstairs at the end of the hall). Anyone 16 or older, who loves to sing and worship God with their voice, is welcome to show up and participate.

Worship Team Vocalists

Vocal Auditions are held on a periodic basis for any one interested in becoming a part of the small weekly worship teams in the contemporary services.

Worship Band

WANNA PLAY?

A driving rhythm section is at the core of the contemporary worship sound. Drums, percussion, guitars (loud!) and keyboard are the framework within which strong vocals and additional instruments are added to create the musical pieces that draw worshipers together in song each week.

Signing Choir Love in Motion

Thursdays, 6-9 p.m., Middle School Room

"Love in Motion" a traveling choir that supports worship services here and at churches throughout San Diego County. Their form of liturgical worship provides people with an opportunity to "see" uplifting music, choreographed use of American Sign Language, as well as experience drama, and dance that inspires people to feel songs and messages.

We will teach you sign language and introduce you to a new family of friends. Ages grade school to grandparents.
