Bruce Humphrey |
Dr. Bruce Humphrey has served as the pastor to small, medium and very large congregations for 30 years. Bruce serves as Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church’s primary preaching pastor and visionary leader. Under his leadership the congregation has grown in its commitment to serve the local community, bless neighbors, and represent Jesus Christ in our world. Bruce’s pastoral leadership has helped each of his congregations not only grow in size but also grow younger and more active in mission programs.
Bruce, along with serving as a pastor is also the author of several books. Five are textbooks used for educating Native American lay pastors. Sensitivity to cross-cultural concerns became one of Bruce’s passions since his first call was to serve as a mission pastor in an Alaskan Tlinget Indian village. His most recent book is on leadership titled Ministry on Fire. This book has been translated into Nepali and Arabic. Bruce guest lectures at seminaries and speaks on leadership themes at pastor conferences around the world.
Bruce and Kate have been married for 34 years. They are the parents of four grown children and two grandchildren. They have a three generation home in Rancho Bernardo.
