Our Church
Our church is a diverse group. Drive into our parking lot and you will find stickers of all various political persuasions. You will find expensive vehicles parked next to beat up clunkers. We are singles and marrieds. We are intergenerational with lots of seniors as well as lots of families. We see our children and youth as contributing valuable members of the church family. Our inter-racial personality includes an entire congregation of Arabic speaking Christians from various countries worshiping in our chapel.
We worship using diverse musical styles and instrumentation, joyfully incorporating everything from loud, edgy guitars to timeless choral anthems, as appropriate to each unique worship service style and venue. In fact, we are known for creativity and artistry that includes visual and dramatic arts, as well as music.
We are all at different places on our spiritual journeys: Some have followed Jesus for decades, some seeking genuine spirituality but restless with doubts about institutional church. We gather to be a supportive community and disburse to share our lives in the world. We believe that Jesus transforms us so that we can help change the world.
We recognize that our journey as followers of Jesus overlaps the spiritual lessons many learn outside our church walls. We know that authentic spiritual experiences happen beyond our church. That’s why we enjoy listening and sharing wisdom with neighbors in the community. In loving relationships, we are learning to be vulnerable about the real stuff of life.
